Batsũ̀ is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Bribri. It is the name of LHS 3844 (aka L 119-213) in constellation Ind.

Etymology and History

Batsũ̀ means “hummingbird” in the Bribri language spoken in Costa Rica. Batsũ̀ are the messengers of the creator Sibö̀, a culture hero and creator of Earth and Humanity.
