Naledi is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Sesotho, Se Tswana and SePedi. It is the name of WASP-62 in constellation Dor.

Etymology and History

Naledi means star in the Sesotho, SeTswana and SePedi languages and is typically given as a name to girls in the hope that they will bring light, joy and peace to their communities.
