Emiw is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Makhuwa. It is the name of HIP 5529 (HD 7199) in constellation Tuc.

Etymology and History

Emiw represents love in the local Makhuwa language of the northern region of Mozambique.
