Milky way refers to a clear night with the Milky Way visible in the sky. Here, the “Milky Way” does not refer to the Milky Way galaxy.

Var. 2 (Γαλαξίας): It is one of the visible constellations. It is said to be called the “Milk”. It was impossible for the sons of Zeus to share in the honours of heaven unless they had suckled at Hera’s breast. That is why, it is said, Hermes brought Heracles after his birth and placed him at Hera’s breast. Heracles suckled; when she noticed, Hera pushed him away from her, and thus the surplus milk, as it flowed away, formed the Milky Way.
