mulGU2.ḪAL (𒀯𒄘𒄬) is an ancient Mesopotamian term, probably an epithet of a planet.

Concordance, Etymology, History[1]

= ur᾽udu(m) "(Star) Throat"(?) [AHw, 1436];

only in astrological predictions in the EAE series:

  • DIŠ a-na ŠA3 mulAŠ.GAN2 mulGU2.ḪAL TU IGI [...]
  • "If the (Star)-Throat? enters the Field (and) becomes visible..." [ACh Suppl., 47:5; G. 80];
  • mulGU2.ḪAL,[2] according to [NSAM 2, 82, note 272]. Probably an epithet of one of the planets (Mars?).

Kurtik (2022, g29) Gössmann (1950)
= ur᾽udu(m) «(Звезда) Горло»(?) [ACh Suppl., 47:5; G. 80]; mulGU2.TAR, согласно [NSAM 2, 82, note 272]. Вероятно, эпитет одной из планет (Марс?).

  2. Kurtik reads GU2.TAR, but GU2.TAR in NSAM 2, 82 is a misprint; Virolleaud's copy in Suppl. 47:5 has GU2.HAL, and the British Museum's photo confirms this.
