Matza is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Zoque. It is the name of HIP 65426 (HD 116434) in constellation Centaurus.

Etymology and History

Matza refers to “a star in the sky” or “somebody that shines within” in the language of the Zoque people.
