Purpose

This template provides a standardized infobox for the 88 IAU recognized constellations; the modern constellations used in modern-day science.

Parameters

• name – (Mandatory) — The name of the constellation, as defined by the IAU
• native – (Mandatory) — The three letter IAU abbreviation for the constellation
• translation – (Mandatory) — The genetive form of the constellation's name used in the construction of star names in Bayer designations and Flamsteed designations
• pronounce – (Optional) — The pronunciation of the constellation's name, and the genitive form. Please use the IPA and optionally respelling.

• symbolism – (Optional) — the meaning of the constellation

ie. Draco, is "the dragon", so fill in as the dragon

• RA and dec -- coordinates of the constellation
  • RA – (Mandatory) — right ascension, use the {{Template:Right ascension}} or {{Deg2HMS}} template to fill in this parameter

    the right ascension of the lower and upper extremes of the constellation

  • dec – (Mandatory) — declination, use the {{Template:Declination}} template to fill in this parameter

    the declination of the lower and upper extremes of the constellation

• liststyle – (Optional) — style for included lists; default is plain, hlist for horizontal and flatlist for bulleted.
