Muspelheim is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Old Norse. It is the name of the star HAT-P-29 in constellation Per.

Etymology and History

Muspelheim is the Norse mythological realm of fire. The first gods used the sparks of Muspelheim to form the Sun, Moon, planets, and stars.
