Tevel is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Hebrew. It is the name of HAT-P-9 in constellation Aur.

Etymology and History

Tevel means Universe or everything and begins with the letter Taf, the last letter in the Hebrew alphabet.

Mythology

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN on 2019/12/17.
