Etymology and History
The name was introduced for the star by Piazzi (1814) originating from the Indigenous Arabian asterism ظَلِيم al-ẓalīm, the Ostrich, seen in various stars (e.g. Fomalhaut, Theta Eridani).
Mythology

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN on 2017/09/05.
