Dagon is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Fomalhaut in the constellation of Piscis Austrinus. Suggested by the country of USA, it follows the name theme NEWC 2015
Etymology and History
Dagon was a Semitic deity, often represented as half-man, half-fish.
Mythology

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN in the 20xx NameExoWorlds Campaign (NEWC).
