Bosona is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is NEWC. It is the name of HIP 107251 (HD 206610) in constellation Aqr.

Etymology and History

Bosona is the name given to the territory of Bosnia in the 10th century. Later, the name was transformed to Bosnia originating from the name of the Bosna river.

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN on 2019/12/17.
