Mago is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Ethiopian. It is the name of HIP 24003 (HD 32518) in constellation Cam.

Etymology and History

Mago is a National Park in Ethiopia noted for its giraffes. The star also happens to be in the constellation of Camelopardalis, the giraffe.
