Illyrian is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is English. It is the name of HIP 47087 (HD 82886) in constellation LMi.

Etymology and History

Historians largely believe that the Albanians are descendants of the Illyrians, a term Albanians proudly call themselves.
