Nenque is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Waorani. It is the name of HIP 5054 (HD 6434) in constellation Phe.
Etymology and History
Nenque means the Sun in the language spoken by the Indigenous Waorani tribes of the Amazon regions of Ecuador.
