Chechia is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Tunisian Arabic. It is the name of HIP 99894 (HD 192699) in constellation Aql.

Etymology and History

Chechia is a flat-surfaced, traditional red wool hat worn by men and women, symbolising the country's rich traditions and is considered as the national headdress for in Tunisia.
