Kamuy is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Ainu. It is the name of HIP 79219 (HD 145457) in constellation CrB.

Etymology and History

Kamuy is a word in the Ainu language denoting a supernatural entity possessing spiritual energy.
