Samh is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Titawin in the constellation of Andromeda. Suggested by the country of Morocco, it follows the name theme NEWC 2015

Etymology and History

Samh is named for Abu al-Qasim 'Asbagh ibn Muhammad ibn al-Samh al-Mahri (or "Ibn al-Samh"), a noted 11th century astronomer and mathematician in the school of al Majriti in Cordova (Andalusia, now modern Spain).

IAU Working Group on Star Names

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN in the 20xx NameExoWorlds Campaign (NEWC).
