Sansuna is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Maltese. It is the name of HIPIntegerPart[] (, HAT-P-34) in constellation Sge.

Etymology and History

Sansuna is the name of the mythological giant from traditional Maltese folk tales that carried the stones of the Gozo megalithic temples on her head.
