mul4U.RI.RI (𒌌𒌋𒊑𒊑) occurs in astronomical omens moving among the stars and thus must be a planet, or a term for comet or falling star. The final section of MUL.APIN (II iii 22-27) gives a set of omens relating to 'the U.RI.RI-star.' Hunger-Steele 2019: 127 provide indirect evidence for an identification of mul4U.RI.RI with Mercury.

Concordance, Etymology, History[1]

= A moving celestial luminary, possibly the planet Mercury, or a comet; the name occurs only in astrological texts [Gössmann[2] 165; Chadwick 1993[3], 171; Weidner 1923-24, 203-205].

See also the predictions: DIŠ <mul>U.RI.RI itiši-[ir BURU14...] "If the star Uriri (in) the month of She[r-eburi (=siman) ...]" [ACh Ištar[6], 33:8]; DIŠ mul4U.RI.RI ina MAŠ.QA 30 GUB [...] "If the star Uriri stands on the shoulder of the moon [...]" [ACh Ištar[6], 29:10].

Additional

Since <mul>U.RI.RI stands in [ACh Ištar[6], 33:8] among the predictions dedicated to Mercury, it is possible that this is the name of Mercury [MA[4] 134].

Kurtik (2022, u01) Gössmann (1950)
= движущееся небесное светило, возможно, планета Меркурий, или комета; название встречается только в астрологических текстах [Gössmann 1950, 165; Chadwick 1993, 171; Weidner 1923–24, 203–205].

См. также предсказания: DIŠ <mul>U.RI.RI itiši-[ir BURU14…] «Если звезда Урири (в) месяце Ше[р-эбури (=симану) …]» [ACh Ištar, 33:8]; DIŠ mul4U.RI.RI ina MAŠ.QA 30 GUB […] «Если звезда Урири на плече Луны стоит […]» [ACh Ištar, 29:10].

Поскольку <mul>U.RI.RI стоит в [ACh Ištar, 33:8] среди предсказаний, посвященных Меркурию, не исключено, что это имя Меркурия [MA 134].
