Mönch is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is German. It is the name of HIP 72339 (HD 130322) in constellation Vir.

Etymology and History

Mönch is one of the prominent peaks of the Bernese Alps in Switzerland.
