Toge is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Sika in the constellation of Sagittarius. Suggested by the country of Ghana, it follows the name theme Terms associated with artefacts and jewelry containing gold in the Ewe language spoken in Ghana (formerly known as "Gold Coast" prior to independence).

Etymology and History

Toge means earring in the Ewe language.

IAU Working Group on Star Names

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN in the 20xx NameExoWorlds Campaign (NEWC).
