Gakyid is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Dzongkha. It is the name of HIP 42446 (HD 73534) in constellation Cnc.
Etymology and History
Gakyid means happiness. Gross National Happiness is the development philosophy conceived and followed in Bhutan and is one of Bhutan's contributions to the world.
