Haumea is an oval-shaped object spinning very fast in the outer solar system.

Concordance, Etymology, History

Haumea was discovered by teams from the United States (led by Mike Brown) and Spain (led by José Luis Ortiz Moreno). This discovery created a long story for the name decision.

In 2008, Haumea was classified as a dwarf planet by IAU.

Origin of Constellation

Haumea was named after the Hawaiian goddess of childbirth and fertility.
