Disclaimer: The information on this website is provided for scholarly and educational purposes. Interpretations may be revised as new evidence becomes available. The IAU values freedom of religion and will not promote any belief system. However, the sky has long served as a projection screen for human spirituality, and many historical documents (images and texts) attest to this purpose.
As a portal to published research and historical source material, the ASE grants access to these documents but as the (cultural branch of the) International Astronomical Union (IAU), we expressly distance ourselves from their content: this applies to religious texts and images of all kinds, including astrology.
