Malmok is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Papiamento. It is the name of the variable star V732 Vir (WASP-39) in constellation Vir.
Etymology and History
Malmok is an indigenous name given to a beach in Aruba with a narrow sandy stretch that interrupts the limestone and rocky terrace along the coast. Its shallow clear Caribbean waters make it a popular snorkelling spot.
Mythology

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN on 2019/12/17.
