Etymology and History

Tycho Brahe (1546-1601) was a Danish astronomer and nobleman who recorded accurate astronomical observations of the stars and planets. These observations were critical to Kepler's formulation of his three laws of planetary motion. 

Mythology

IAU Working Group on Star Names

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN in the 20xx NameExoWorlds Campaign (NEWC).
