Secunda Hyadum is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Latin. It is the name of HIP 20455 (δ¹ Tau, HR 1373) in constellation Tau.

Etymology and History

The Latin term Hyadum II goes back to Flamsteed (1729) in analogy to Hyadum I or Prima Hyadum.

IAU Working Group on Star Names

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN on 2017/09/05.
